Fibromyalgia: An Overview and More

Allodynia is pain caused by irritants that doesn't have to be painful. For example, a cool breeze brushing your skin or the waistband of baggy pants shouldn't be painful, but when you have allodynia, they do. It is a hallmark symptom of fibromyalgia and can be thermal (related to temperature), mechanical (caused by movement on the skin), and / or tactile (caused by pressure or touch).
