Step-by-step instructions for taking a sitz bath


Prepare your bath

Before filling your sitz bath, prepare your bath so you can take your time, relax, and focus on taking care of yourself. Since you may be in the bathroom for a while, find activities or things that help you relax. It can be music, scented candles, reading material, or even a game on your mobile phone.

Try to set the room temperature as comfortable as possible so that it doesn't get too cold or too hot. Once the room is ready and your entertainment is at your fingertips, pack plenty of towels to dry or wipe up any accidental spills.

Finally, make sure everyone in the house knows to leave it alone until it is completely finished. A sitz bath is not something you should rush into.
